After fifteen weeks: Sunday again!

For the first time since March 15th, on Sunday July 5th Palfrey church was open to worshippers for our normal full services of Mattins and the Holy Liturgy. Of course we had to wear masks, keep the prescribed distances and follow the arrows, but it was a joyful occasion. Obviously, with the Covid-19 people had given serious thought to their attendance and all felt the solemnity as well as the pleasure of our reunion in the mysteries. We celebrated the particular moment by singing in Greek, English and Romanian the hymn to the Theotokos, our protectress and leader in times of trouble: To you the champion leader.

Baptisms are in high demand; there were ten over the weekend and many forty-day prayers. Anyone wishing to arrange a baptism should telephone the office.
