Our Community
The church is situated in the urban village of Palfrey in Walsall, West Midlands. The parish serves any Orthodox living in Walsall and the other towns of the Black Country, north-east of Birmingham, and parts of the neighbouring counties of Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. They represent many of the Orthodox nations, Slav, Hellenic, Romanian and Georgian as well as including local British. The community's links with the other local Orthodox churches are important. The priest in charge is Father John Nankivell and the assistant priest is Father Emilian Bratu. The parish business is managed by the Black Country Orthodox Trust, a registered charity, with a committee of parish members.
