  • Separate households must keep a distance of ONE metre apart. This now allows more people to be in the main church.

  • Due to a request from the Archbishop face masks are once again required to be worn when inside the church bulding.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO:

Use track and trace, follow the arrows for the one-way system, sanitise, wash hands, not attend church with Covid symptoms or when in quarantine.

We are continually reviewing our Covid measures. Please stay safe!

Celebrations & Passages

Great feast of the Meeting of the Lord

You sanctified a virgin womb by your birth,
And fittingly blessed Simeon's hands.
You have come now too
And saved us, O Christ God.
But give peace to your commonwealth in times of war,
And strengthen its rulers,
Whose friend you are,
For you alone love mankind.

ABOUT US

We are an Orthodox church in the Archdiocese of Thyateira under the Ecumenical patriarchate. The parish was established in the year 2000, when the late Archbishop Gregorios visited and gave his blessing for us to negotiate the purchase of the church building and the former vicarage from the Anglican Church. The main services are in English and we use the traditional byzantine chant. As an Orthodox Church, we welcome Orthodox Christians of whatever background. We celebrate weddings, baptisms, funerals, house blessings and other prayers and services in whatever language is most suitable for the families and communities concerned.: English, Greek, Romanian, Slavonic.
